Hi everyone,

It’s election season and local councillors will be calling! 

We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to read this and lobby on our behalf should you engage a councillor on the doorstep. 

In summary we have the following 3 requirements for our over 70 Teams and nearly 2000 players: 

1. Floodlit All weather training/playing surfaces - We suggest Pitch 3 in Bushy beside the floodlit all weather tennis , paddle and basketball courts 

2. Floodlit training/playing surfaces are badly needed - We suggest flood lighting the GAA Pitch in ETB/VEC Terenure and opening it up for night time usage   

3. Clubhouse / multi function room facilities needed - We suggest that this could be provided in ETB/VEC Terenure perhaps.

With weather as it is evolving and the resultant impact on pitches together with our need to provide ever more pitches to cater for the explosion in our membership and in particular girls Gaelic Football in our area we feel strongly that the Council  should be supporting us more than they are.

We ask you to raise these 3 matters with your callers and demand better for your community, your children and our youth and young adults.
